How WEGAS GROUP Was Built — and Why It Matters
We didn't start WEGAS GROUP because we wanted to run an agency. We started it because we watched too many great local businesses get burned by bad ones.
2019 — The Problem We Couldn't Ignore
Our founders were working inside large Montreal marketing agencies. Week after week, the same pattern: a small business owner — a roofer, a dentist, a moving company — would sign a $2,000/month retainer. They'd receive a generic onboarding template, a campaign built from last year's industry playbook, and a monthly report full of impressions and clicks that had no connection to actual revenue.
After six months, the client would cancel. The agency would blame "market conditions." The business owner would conclude that digital marketing "doesn't work." And the cycle would repeat.
We believed something different: that local businesses deserved agency-quality marketing built specifically around customer acquisition — not activity metrics. So in 2019, we left our jobs and built WEGAS GROUP around a single promise: measurable results or we fix it for free.
2020–2022 — Building the Playbooks
We deliberately chose to specialize. Instead of serving every business category, we picked 13 industries where we could develop deep expertise: contractors, moving companies, law firms, dental practices, med spas, real estate, mortgage brokers, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, security, and restaurants.
For each industry, we built documented playbooks: which keywords convert, what ad creative stops the scroll, which landing page structure generates the most form fills, what the seasonal demand curve looks like. This institutional knowledge is what separates our first-month results from agencies that are still "learning your business" at month six.
2023–Present — Scale Without Compromise
Today WEGAS GROUP serves 200+ clients across Montreal, Quebec, and Canada. We've managed over $2 million in ad spend. We've built hundreds of websites. And we still operate on the same principles that founded us: performance accountability, full transparency, and no long-term contracts.
